The Pastoral Care Program is coordinated with PAPA and is designed to provide pastoral care to patients, their families, and hospital personnel. As of January 2010 the hospital has more than thirty interfaith pastoral representatives who meet the training guidelines set forth by the Chaplain Coordinator. Pastoral visitation of local clergy to parishioner is not restricted by this program but rather welcomes it. Chaplains make appropriate referrals both within and outside of the hospital, i.e., social services, ethics committee, and local pastors.
